about the doctor

Dr. Custer received her Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Iona College in 1992. She graduated from the Swedish Institute of Massage in New York City in 1994 and then obtained her doctorate degree in Chiropractic from Life University with honors in 1998. While at Life University she participated in two mission trips to Panama to spread the idea of wellness through chiropractic to the people of Panama.

After graduating from Life University Dr. Custer practiced for a year with Dr. Tina Sigafoose in Thomasville, Pennsylvania and in May of 2000 Dr. Custer purchased Ivy Commons Family Chiropractic and made Charlottesville, Virginia her new home. She is a member of the International Chiropractors Association and the Virginia Society of Chiropractic.

In March of 2002, Dr. Custer traveled to Ground Zero in New York City to offer chiropractic care to the firefighters and construction workers who were cleaning up the debris from the aftermath of 9/11.

Dr. Custer lives and practices in the Charlottesville community. She takes care of people of all ages and backgrounds in central Virginia, providing quality care for the entire family.
